The City of Walled Lake takes a proactive approach to being redevelopment ready for current and future development
Our dedication to efficiency, innovation, and improvement is the foundation of our Streamlined Development Process. An important part of this process includes our enhanced "pre-site" plan review meeting. This meeting occurs prior to full submittal to the Planning Commission. It is a more efficient, development-friendly, approach to make sure the items that could potentially delay the planning process do not occur
In conjunction with our established Urban Design Guidelines and the DDA Facade and Sign Grant program, the Streamlined Development process completes our objective, which is to support existing business, encourage business reinvestment, and promote business development in the City.
