38 years of experience providing Evolutionary Network Design, Integration and Service to Utilities, Fortune 500 companies and Government. After founding ELAN Engineering in 1978, Mike continued to provide Turnkey solutions including; Project Management, DATA Center, Power, Low-voltage power, Cooling, DATA, Video, Security, CATV, CCTV, Outdoor Wireless, Towers, Outside Plant, RFID, Fiber Optic, Intelligent Buildings and Telco. Mike has managing over 200 employees in multiple states, with projects ranging from single building implementation to a 426 building MAN. Mike has completed 1200 miles of Outside Plant projects in a single year with over 10,000 miles of Plant construction for Broadband, Telephone and Data Systems in all terrain.
The EDUCTIONAL LEARNING AREA NETWORK (ELAN) implemented in 1990, included design, build and maintenance of the first fiber optic, voice, video and data Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) for a school system in Michigan.
This 10 building design was named by the U.S. Department of Commerce as 1 of 33 fundable design models nationally. As Senior Consulting Engineer on projects in Great Britain and India, 1988-1992, ELAN designed integrated Voice, Video and DATA MAN’s.
